Hidden signs of earlier activity are found as abandoned farms, ruins limited by century-old stonehedges and
"tar valleys", which even supplied the continent
with that coveted raw material.

The association for local history takes care of sign-posting of memorable places and organizes minstral-meetings at the "Gläntan" on the opposite bank.

The fairy tale park Blomstergården revels in nostalgia
with its illustrations of the country and its people,
of legends and reality. At Räntemåla Gård the visitor
is able to meet the king of the woods in the moose-preserve. Aroniagården presents instructively its tended garden with flowering herbal and medicinal plants in the middle of the forest. Lobergs wood-carvings are supraregional well-known, not only by the design of the stag-beetle, the landscape animal of Blekinge.
In the proximity Mjuamålas CrossKart is established, which attracts the engine-interested.

The border to Småland, only somewhat further north running,
is the beginning of the glas realm, in which this traditional
art of handicraft is still maintained. Utvandrarnas Väg,
from Eriksmåla to Karlshamn, attaches at Vilhelm Mobergs descriptions of the emigration wave in the 19th Century.
The "Emigrant museem" in Växjö has much to tell about it.

Finally the coastal towns: Karlshamn offers the cosy charm of the former fishery culture, the early commercial town Ronneby with it’s healthy well park lies nearest and in the world-culture heritage Karlskrona harmonize tradition and modernity.
